- Spelling City/Vocabulary app (FREE)
- Write About This app (I tried the free and upgraded to the paid $3.99 because it offers a better choice of photos and prompts. Students can record their voice after responding in the journal area. There may be a slight glitch in the audio recording.
- Splash Math 3 app - An interactive ocean setting. You will need earbuds, headphones or the volume set low as this app applauds every effort made by the student. (FREE)
- Slice It app - A fun symmetry game and a visual puzzle to train the brain. (FREE)
- iTooch 3rd Grade app ($9.99, I broke the iTunes gift card on this one) One stop shopping app for 3rd graders: includes language arts, math and science. Good value for money.
- Preze for iPad app (FREE) - This offers a different venue for presentation. Students like the "movement" during their sharing.
- Google Earth app (FREE) - Students in 3rd grade study maps and this is a great way to share the Earth's topography. Finding their street and house/apartment in Menomonie is a WOW factor!
